From You I Grow (FYIG)
A social media-based, non-linear dark fantasy ARG inspired by the folktale, “The Children of Hameln,” by the Brothers Grimm. Players follow a mysterious social media account, finding themselves woven into a constantly shifting narrative that unfolds as more people follow the account. Exploring ideas of childhood innocence, social surveillance, and word-of-mouth storytelling as tools for social control, the narrative offers followers an opportunity to question the politics of vouyerism and witness, by turning the practice of social media “following” into a horror story mechanic.
